Loughton – Moreton – Bakehouse [104km / 950m elevation]

This longer Essex ride heads out to Epping via Loughton and Theydon Bois avoiding Mott Street and the Epping New Road. It connects up with our 200km Great Escape reliability ride route through Toot Hill and Moreton before turning off toward the Bakehouse café at 58km. On the way in summer, keep an eye out of the sunflower fields. The run back into London takes you past the cafes at Blackmore (64km), near to secret nuclear bunker at Kelvedon Hatch and the mansions around Chigwell. This loop brings you back in on the bike lanes on the Lea Bridge road and past the Clissold Park Tavern (102km)– a great place for an end of ride beer.
