CLUB RIDES at Islington CC
Whether you're chasing fitness, climbing hills, or looking for a social spin, ICC offers a full calendar of weekly rides — weekdays and weekends — to suit every kind of rider.
All rides are for members only and are led by volunteers who help keep the pace, route, and vibes spot-on.
Weekday Rides
We run five official weekday rides, from early-morning Regent’s Park laps to scenic evening loops out of London. Here’s what’s on offer:
TUESDAY
Regent’s Park Training Laps
Departs: Zoo Entrance – 06:15 (Apr–Oct) / 06:30 (Nov–Mar)
A fast-paced, pre-work training ride around the outer loop of Regent’s Park. Average pace 35-40km/h
ICC Women’s Chat Laps
Departs: Zoo Entrance – 06:30
A relaxed, social-paced ride led by our women’s community. Open to all levels and perfect for building confidence.
Radlett Revolution
Departs: Highbury Fields – 18:15
Our longest and flattest weekday route: 72 km with ~600m elevation. A scenic spin out to Radlett and back via Potters Bar.
WEDNESDAY
North London Hills
Departs: Highbury Fields – 18:15
A punchy 50 km midweek climb-fest: Swain’s Lane, Alexandra Palace, and Muswell Hill. Around 600m elevation. Legs required.
THURSDAY
"Fixie Loop" (No fixie required!)
Departs: Highbury Fields – 18:15
Rolling countryside roads through North London and Herts. 60 km with ~550m elevation. Popular on geared bikes — despite the name.
FRIDAY
Regent’s Park Social Laps
Departs: Zoo Entrance – 06:30
Easy-paced laps to end the work week right. A social, no-drop ride with buns galore at Fortitude Bakery afterwards.
Weekend Rides
Our weekends are packed with riding opportunities — whether you’re training, socialising, or chasing a café stop.
SATURDAY
Regent’s Park Laps
Departs: Zoo Entrance – 07:00 & 08:00
07:00 laps: Fast-paced and race-focused. Average pace 35 km/h+
08:00 laps: All paces welcome — from chat laps to faster training
Riders split into groups around the park loop and meet up for coffee and chat afterwards.
